JOB DETAIL

This position leads the planning, design,and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related tocloud computing. This position's work assignments involve moderately complex tocomplex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depthevaluation of variable factors.  Because of the close interactionwith business customers and supporting IT teams, this position will require adeep understanding of requirements analysis, DevOps practices, and testing.

Major Job Duties andResponsibilities:

• Analyze existing cloud architecture thenrecommend and design improvements

• Deliver technical solutions for projectsleveraging agile project management methodologies

• Develop cloud architecture strategies thatcan be consistently applied across the enterprise

• Develop and maintain enterprise standardsfor cloud ecosystem architecture

• Identify technical risk in projects anddevelop strategies to alleviate it

• Communicate technical cloud architecturedirection and how it relates to business objectives to all levels of theorganization through documentation, training, and awareness

• Lead design discussions with appropriatepersonnel to define goals and objectives of business applications in the cloud

• Help to clarify, identify, and trackrequirements and project issues and escalate to immediate manager whererequired

• Act as primary point of contact for theGlobal Architecture team with Cloud Operations and Front Office Delivery teamswithin Allegion IT

• Develop and maintain a thorough knowledgeof multiple Allegion business functions and how the system and procedures thatsupport these functions interrelate to develop/support cloud architectureimplementations

• Accountable for building and maintainingbuild and deployment pipelines including tools used to automate quality andsecurity within those pipelines.

• Design, develop, and integrate/automatesolutions for CI/CD pipeline using various cloud technologies.

• Collaborate with various IT teams toenable best implementation of Allegion solutions in cloud environments

 

Required Skills andCompetencies

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science orInformation Technology preferred but not required.

• 7 years of experience in the design,development, implementation, and integration of enterprise applications

• Have a passion for technology andwillingness to explore and adopt emerging technologies for practical businesspurposes

• Bring an upbeat, positive attitude whileenjoying working with an agile team to develop innovative technical solutionsto help enable business growth and improve customer satisfaction

• MUST HAVE: Very proficient with designingand implementing cloud solutions in Azure and other Cloud technologyimplementations and management platforms (e.g., AWS)

• Have experience using an integrateddevelopment environment or application lifecycle management tool such as VisualStudio or TFS

• Experience architecting highly availablesystems that are secure and utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability, andhigh availability

• MUST HAVE: Proficient with SQL, REST API,Angular, C#, PowerShell, with in-depth knowledge of implementing COTS packagesfor infrastructure management

• Mentor and share knowledge with juniorteam members and across the Allegion IT teams

• Experience in Agile software developmentand DevOps/DevSecOps practices. Act as a thoughtful leader within Allegion forDevOps practices.

• Working knowledge of NIST and CIS standardsand ability to translate them to Allegion systems

• Experience updating and deployingenvironments through Infrastructure as Code scripts.

• Implementation knowledge of advancedsecurity features to protect private information without breaking functionality

• Have the ability to communicate wellverbally and in writing, with various team members in roles that are bothtechnical and non-technical particularly to give direction to other teammembers or present business value of various initiatives to leadership

• Be self-motivated with good timemanagement skills

• Proactively work to coordinating effortswith employees at all levels including internal business partners, othertechnology teams, external suppliers/consultants, service providers, etc.

• Be able to interface with teams that maybe globally co-located

• Ability to identify issues, generatesolutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis

• Have experience integratingcommercial-of-the-shelf software packages into a corporate environment

• Demonstrated knowledge of softwaredevelopment methodologies and best practices

• Experience working in a fast-paced, agileenvironment while providing consistent application lifecycle management
