Design scalable and highly available cloud database solutions inclusive of the following platforms:
- Cloud SQL
- Bigtable
- Spanner
Manage database solutions for the above platforms including:
- IAM and user management
- Authentication methods
- Configuration of database monitoring and resolution of observed issues
- Database Backup and recovery
- Database cost optimization
Design and implement database migration solutions
- Develop and execute migration strategies and plans inclusive of down-time considerations, database replication, data migration, fallback plans, schema conversion, and other migration tools.
Qualifications
- 5 years of overall database management specifically with mySQL and IT experience.
- 2+ years of Google Cloud experience.
- Proven experience in designing database solutions based on application use cases.
- Experience in designing transactional data models.
- Hands on experience in performing database migrations to Google Cloud.
Ideal candidates have experience with other Google Cloud Infrastructure including but not limited to previously defined technologies as well as:
- Firestore
- Memorystore
- Cloud Networking
- Cloud Storage
