JOB DETAIL

We are looking for an enthusiastic, intuitive, and curious IT Salesforce application developer who can help manage the Salesforce CRM platform and integrated web

applications. As a member of the Investor Solutions IT team:

• Fully understands Salesforce setup, customization, screen layouts, integrations, and

reporting using Financial Services Cloud with the Lightning experience and can teach tips and tricks to Fortress team.

• Gain a deep understanding of the business and IT processes, logic, and applications supporting the sales and investor relations business functions and translate into Salesforce customizations.

• Become an expert on the data and how it is all interconnected, be able to easily tell whether a report looks correct, be able to help developers connect data with joins to obtain the correct results.

• Help establish a process to manage all Salesforce customizations and user interface changes like page layouts, search layoutsworkflowscalculated fieldsvalidations, notifications, and alerts.

• Monitor the health Salesforce data replication to local database for custom reporting for fundraising and sales functions and work with the DBA team to troubleshoot when needed.

• Build various reports out of Salesforce for business use.

• Suggest, implement, and test process improvements, especially leveraging prior experience in fundraising and marketing efforts, contacts management, events management, investor accounts, tax, and compliance reporting.

• Interpret user requests in layman’s terms, translate that into technical tasks, and build new fields, workflows, and sophisticated and polished reports that will help the sales team track activities, increase outreach rates, etc.

• Collaborate with the QA team and manage the Salesforce and integrated application verification for quarterly upgrades by developing test cases/scenarios as a part of the

SDLC process and help them troubleshoot when there are data discrepancies or determine certain discrepancies are acceptable (and be able to explain why).

• Help the IT team stay organized by managing own tasks in team’s the Azure Boards ticketing system and track status updates for our deliverables and releases.

• Research and test new potential salesforce marketplace applications for the business to improve current processes.

• Setup user access security hierarchy using profiles, groups etc. and manage business and IT users.

• Maintain and enhance existing integrated web applications with CRM platform using .NET/C#/SQL/Rest API coding techniques.

 

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Salesforce, such as designing UIs, creating workflows, setting up fields, data uploads, building inline reporting

• Expert in Salesforce customization and run them through IT SDLC process

• Experience in accessing Salesforce data via SQL Queries, using SOQL and SOSL

• Experience in automating external data integration with Salesforce using APIs

• Experience in building end to end web applications using .NET/Java, HTML, SOAP/REST API and SQL

• Power BI and/or Tableau – build reports from preset views or custom SQL queries, joining multiple data sources, adding Calculated Fields and Parameters to create a visual, interactive experience for business users.

• SQL – Writing and editing basic queries based on preset views, ability to look at a query to help troubleshoot.

• Ability to communicate technical information with colleagues as well as senior management who may not have a technical background, be able to understand what a business user needs and explain that in technical terms to the development team.

• Collaborate with power users and partner with other team members to arrive at the best possible solutions to problems presented by the business.

• Meticulous attention to detail, ability to compare different datasets, determine how they differ and troubleshoot differences with QA team.

• Commitment to data quality and completeness and is willing to perform some varioustasks to ensure data accuracy.

• Independent work ethic, highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced, high stakes environment, ambition to proactively seek answers and improve process.
