Seeking a Senior DevOps Java Developer/Engineer for a vital role in design, development, integration & support of application systems. This position is for individuals who can self-start, work with different teams and meet customer centric operational excellence strategic goals with robust, highly available, high transaction volume, fault tolerant and scalable enterprise software systems. This position will include 24x7 support on a rotating basis for application support.
Experience Required:
- 12+ years of experience and expertise in Java, J2EE based design, development, implementation & support of large-scale software products, systems.
- Experience deploying and supporting application systems in a high availability, scalable environment
- Ability to span across IT disciplines, like technical architecture, application development and operations
- Develop application software using J2EE design patterns with emphasis on reusability
- Integrate application systems using standard proven architecture patterns and standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across IT and business stakeholders
- Analyze and resolve technical issues independently
- Interoperability with different in-house and third-party products.
Skills Required:
- Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot or Spring Framework
- Working knowledge of scripting/programming languages (linux shell or python or javascript)
- Working knowledge of continuous integration and deployment tools: Jenkins, JUnit, Gradle, Ant, GIT, Jira
- Messaging middleware like IBM MQ or Tibco EMS or ActiveMQ or Kafka
- Web services technologies REST/SOAP using JSON, XML
- Knowledge and experience with SQL (Oracle or MS SQL Server or DB2)
- Strong analytical skills, detail oriented.

- Excellent documentation, communication & interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Understanding of networks, firewalls, load balancers and concepts with the ability to provide requirements to infrastructure team as well as provide troubleshooting assistance.
- Understanding of Security concepts and products like Layer 7, IDP, SSO, SAML, OAuth
- Knowledge and working experience with JBoss, RedHat OpenShift environment.
- Knowledge and experience with NoSQL database Cassandra, Hadoop Impala and Splunk
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and front-end frameworks (Angular or React or ExtJS)
- Understanding of UML, Enterprise Design/Integration Patterns and SOA
- Experience with Enterprise Application Integration using an ESB (Tibco BW/EMS or Oracle)
