JOB DETAIL

Job Purpose Statement
The Lead Analyst - Telecom Expense Management role will manage Telecoms lifecycle management, manage telecoms environment, and includes spend, usage, technology, processes, and policy. In addition, supports the end-to-end billing process, including all related end user billing inquiries and performs workflow through a ticketing system. The position requires strong problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as having demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with providers and problem resolution. This is a high-volume transaction environment that requires great attention to detail and superior analytical skills. In addition, vendor management with TEM providers and telecom vendors globally.

 

Key Responsibilities
1.    Manage heavy volumes and often complex telecom invoices and carrier bills.
2.    Establish and maintain telecom inventory integrity.
3.    Provide savings opportunities and best practices in Telecom Management.
4.    Provide timely, detailed and accurate reporting to external and internal audiences.
5.    Supervise Telecom Expense Management provider to ensure that invoice processing lifecycle is being done in a timely and orderly fashion.
6.    Review all records associated with bills to ensure accuracy by identifying billing discrepancies, inconsistent trends, issues with payments when they occur and ensuring corrective action where necessary to avoid re-occurrences.
7.    Analyzes all billing procedures and recommends changes in processes to improve overall efficiencies.
8.    Analyzes and reviews delinquent accounts and works with TEM provider and telecom vendors to perform corrective action.
9.    Identifies, files, and resolves disputes with carriers via the TEM provider.
10.    Provide ad hoc reporting and trend analysis as needed.
11.    Assists with contract management and negotiations.
12.    Support facilitation of audit and optimization results and savings strategies.
13.    Provide telecommunications support, strategy, and implementation for the organization.
14.    Assists in cost analysis, forecasting, and tracking for telecom projects and initiatives.
15.    Need to provision and deprovision telecom services on a case-by-case basis

 

Technical Competencies (Experience and Knowledge)
1.    You have basic knowledge of telecommunications services and networks (voice, data, mobile, unified communications)
2.    You have strong knowledge of TEM lifecycle management
3.    You have the ability to escalate effectively and manage vendors.
4.    You have the ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, email) with vendors, peers, direct and senior management.
5.    You have the ability to leverage automation for efficiency
6.    You have previous experience in telecom billing, including knowledge of invoice formats, vendor contracts, TEM providers.
7.    You have experience dealing with telecom carriers and vendor portals.
8.    You have some experience in Accounting or Finance.
9.    You have prior experience working in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
10.    You take attention to detail and very strong organizational and analytical skills as well as the ability to multi-task.
11.    You have the ability to work either independently or as part of a team.
12.    You have the ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
13.    You have experience with Microsoft Office products
14.    You have the ability to review and analyze data.
