JOB DETAIL

This position leads key enterprise-wide ITS and Business area portfolios (multiple programs), programs (multiple projects) and projects. This position partners with ITS and all levels of Meijer business leadership to prioritize, facilitate, manage, track and control high-level cross-functional portfolio and program projects that will significantly impact the business. Facilitates obtaining the business case and requirements, creates project plans and makes appropriate adjustments to scope, schedule, budget and other resources based upon the needs of the projects and programs and is responsible for the overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project, program and portfolio work efforts. The PMO Project Manager has significant communications accountability to business leaders, ITS leadership and consultants with regard to project, program and portfolio strategy, status and change management. Works with ITS and the business to develop metrics and reporting for projects, programs, portfolios and budgets and builds and maintains scorecards. The PMO Project Manager is considered a subject matter expert and is adept at blending the range of services from the Project Management/ITS Business Office with industry best practices in project and portfolio management, budget/procurement, Methodology, metrics/scoreboarding, governance and/or ITS workforce management and development. The position designs, develops and implements formal project, program, and portfolio management, budget and procurement, Methodology and/or ITS workforce management and development standards, software, processes, templates and tools that align ITS to corporate goals. Communicates, trains and supports these standards, software, processes and tools within the ITS department and the business community. Leads the planning of one or more large, cross-functional projects, programs (consisting of multiple related projects), or a portfolio (multiple programs). Provides day-to-day leadership and direction to Project Management Specialists and enterprise-wide project teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Management -

Daily Program management including

- Alignment on objectives, timeline, deliverables, and workplan

- Daily stand-ups management, overview of workstreams, and alignment on priorities

- Working sessions scheduling

- Follow-up / progress tracking

Coordination with internal and external teams on cross-cutting topics including

- Inventory mgmt. & Governance processes; Test Campaigns; Key processes & Op model definition, GTM and vendor engagement plan alignment with Merchants

-Communication (Internal and External), Change Management, Legal & Data Privacy topics, and Meijer P&L structure and vendor scorecard roll-up & automation

Identification and escalation of potential risks / roadblocks -

 

Communication -

Weekly status update ownership across Business tracks

Steering committee preparation; support for executive reporting/presentations

 

Stakeholder Onboarding -

Onboarding coordination for

- RMN new hires

- 3P Partners

Coordination of internal capability building sessions with PMLs and other functions as needed

Coordination of additional RMN Introduction session(s) with other Meijer teams
