Big Data Administration and Development based out of Jersey City, NJ.  The role will require the candidate to have in-depth understanding of Hadoop environment in order to be responsible for maintaining a Hadoop cluster. 

That is:

• Take care of day-to-day running of Hadoop cluster. 
• Monitoring the cluster and working with Production Management team to manage and quickly remediate any production issues
• Monitoring the performance of the cluster
• Work closely with network and other infrastructure teams notably Big Data specialist for all Hadoop maintenance including upgrades, name node migration, etc.

The role is within the Application development team and calls for working very closely with the team for Cloud (AWS) migration and other application development tasks.

Also required:

Knowledge of AWS technologies, relevant AWS certification, and experience in migrating to AWS especially data / big data systems

And / or 

Java development experience in the context of Big Data / Data centric systems
