Experience with Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Spark, RedShift, Big Query, Apache Stack)

Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Understanding of the software development life cycle and associated tools such as Bamboo, JIRA and Git.

Basic understanding of NoSQL technologies (Splunk, ELK, AWS DynamoDB).

Experience in Reporting / Visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, Spotfire).

Hands on Linux/Unix system experience either as a systems administrator or software developer.

Have a passion for problem solving and automation and a willingness to continue growing your skills in this area.

Streaming/Real-Time data technologies (AWS Kinesis, Kafka, Flume).

Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.

Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc

Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS ‘big data’ technologies.

Self-motivated and a self-starter.  If you have a question, be pro-active in finding the answer and communicate your learnings with teammates

Excellent oral and written skill

Accurately defines problem statements, then gathers and compares data about the problems and documents the details; Prepares analysis reports and seeks out all feasible alternatives, prioritizes the alternatives and works out a plan for execution with supervision.

A candidate for the Data Engineer should have subject matter expertise integrating, transforming, and consolidating data from various structured and unstructured data systems into structures that are suitable for building analytics solutions.

Gathers requirements from customers; Analyzes the environment scope for business requirements and facilitates hardware and software requirements; Maintains the availability of environments for projects, including implementing execution environment plans and following application deployment/configuration plans.

The Data Engineers collaborates with senior engineers to discuss the strategies and to implement those strategies to bring about vital changes in the work field. Data Engineers also construct several scripts for the maintenance, monitoring, and efficient performance of the database. Data Engineers support the entire organization by providing the data insights to all the other departments and keeping them on the same page.
