Skills & Requirements
5+ years in business systems analysis with mastery of requirements gathering and process definition on corporate-wide enterprise solutions
A demonstrated track record of success in forging and developing excellent relationship with project team, key business partners and stakeholders
Proven record of bringing structure and ingenuity through business analysis best practices, methodologies and frameworks.
Strong technical skills, including experience with databases, programming languages, and understanding of system architecture, integration and software application development processes.
Ability to effectively prioritize, manage aggressive timelines and professionally navigate high pressure situations
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Manage blockers and impediments to the release plan
Identify and mitigate project risks
Develop and maintain project plans to track milestones and detailed tasks
Track open issues
Write and communicate project status
Issue weekly project status reports
Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal. High comfort-level with MS Office apps including Powerpoint and Visio is a must.
Ability to demonstrate initiative, work on assigned development tasks independently, leverage team members and resources as necessary, apply critical and creative thinking, challenging the status quo where necessary
Must have 5 years experience performing these activities:
Conduct workshops, design as-is flows, designed to-be flows, gather requirements (through customer interviews, JAD sessions and review of project artifacts), ensure requirements align, perform a fit gap analysis, and conduct a RICEF Inventory (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms)
Develop new process documentation and write technical design documentation, functional design documentation
Develop and/or update user and system documentation
The following are not required for this position but would be considered as a valuable asset in a potential candidate.
Experience in Utilities industry
Experience in Billing systems e.g. Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing system
Experience with User Interface and/or Report design
Experience with Process Improvement methodologies (e.g., 6 Sigma, Lean)
Experience with various formal methodologies for Agile software development
