8.Roles & Responsibilities Technical Skills
• Excellent understanding of System z architecture
• Strong experience with IBM z/OS operating system and subsystem components
• Strong experience of installing and supporting widely used ISV products from different vendors which includes IBM, CA, BMC.
• Experience in building Mainframe LPAR and OS Upgrades
• Knowledge of Catalog management, IBM system utilities
• Strong Knowledge of Mainframe Storage and Backups
• Knowledge of CICS & DB2 subsystems
• Knowledge of security software such as ACF2.
• Strong Knowledge of WLM optimization, Performance tuning.
• Experience with system indicators (logs, dumps, error) logs for pro-active management of system problems
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implementation of various mainframe tech solutions
• Support and Lead maintenance activities, releases and major OS upgrades.
• Assist in Performance Tuning system performance
• Work with IBM and other Independent Software Vendors on a regular basis to implement solutions
• Interact with customer and provide regular management reports / analysis.

• Experience with RMF, CMF, SMF, LPAR Capping and Weights
• Troubleshooting Performance related issues
• Managing the weights of LPARS in HMC
