JOB DETAIL

  • We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Project Manager to join our Digital Workplace and IT Department at WPP
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
  • The Technical Project Manager will take ownership of projects related to our digital workplace transformation and play a vital role in streamlining processes and enhancing our technical capabilities

What youll be doing:

  • Oversee and manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring that objectives are clearly defined, timelines are met, and resources are efficiently utilised.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including risk assessments, resource allocation, and contingency planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Operations, Finance, and Human Resources, to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing concerns in a timely manner.
  • Implement project management best practices and methodologies, ensuring compliance with WPPs standards and processes.
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues, making informed decisions to mitigate risks and maintain project momentum.
  • Continuously monitor project progress, evaluating and reporting on performance metrics to ensure timely delivery and achievement of desired outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the Digital Workplace and IT Department, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


What youll need:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in managing complex IT projects, with a strong focus on digital workplace transformation and technology implementation.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong technical acumen, with a thorough understanding of IT infrastructure, digital workplace technologies, and emerging trends.
  • A proactive approach to work, with a focus on continuous improvement and a willingness to embrace new ideas and technologies.
