The Oracle DBA : The DBA is a member of the IT team and is responsible for directly supporting the daily administration of the Oracle DB used at our client. DBA will manage and support our Clients Data environment.
Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases.
Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management.
Provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.
What youll be doing:
- Provide thought leadership on database architectural design of existing and new systems, database administration, performance monitoring tuning, troubleshooting problems and expansion.
- Evaluate and implement products to enhance existing database solutions (reduce costs, improve efficiency, improve performance).
- Review, enhance and develop backup and recovery strategies depending on SLA requirements.
- Capacity planning and monitoring database growth.
- Responsible for installation, upgrades (Database and RAC), patches, SR support, database tuning, concurrent manager administration, cloning.
- Design, maintain and ensure High Availability solutions including replication, clustering etc.
- Design, implement and document Disaster Recovery strategies for critical business servers.
- Perform capacity planning work on Production, UA, QA, DEV and DR environments.
- Research improvements to improve overall system performance.
- Participate in 24 X 7 Support of production environment and mission-critical applications with the Database Technology team on a rotational schedule.
- Communicate and coordinate with other IT teams to successfully resolve support and maintenance issues.
- Develop and enforce database standards and best practices including performance, security, monitoring policies and procedures.

What youll need:
- 7+ years of experience in Oracle 9g/10g/11g/12c/18c/19c databases administration experience.
- Installation and upgrade of Oracle and RAC on 10g/11g/12c/18c/19c version under Linux/AIX platforms
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, and Trigger development.
- Expertise with troubleshooting and debugging.
- Expertise with RMAN backup and recovery.
- Expert with Real Application Clusters (RAC) administration and development.
- Expert with Oracle Advanced Security & with Enterprise User Security.
- Expert with Data Guard.
- Expert with Advanced Compression & Expert with Multitenant.
- Expert with Listener Configuration & Data Masking.
- Expert with Oracle ASM sizing and configuration.
- Should have knowledge of oracle OEM 12C onwards version.
- Expert with Linux command line commands, BASH Scripting and regular expressions
- Exposure to Materialized views (design and implementing)
- Nice to have Architect HA and DR Solutions for PAAS services like Exadata, Autonomous Databases (ATP, ADW.
- Having oracle RAC certification will be added advantage.
- Having previous banking BAU support will be added advantage.
- Having experience on additional database technologies MSSQL or DB2 or Sybase will be added advantage.
