JOB DETAIL

The candidate will become a member of theStatewide Applications and Services Maintenance and Operations Team providingguidance, governance, training and support to State of Colorado developers inregards to Salesforce. This position will work and develop using the Salesforceplatform under guidance of the Salesforce Senior Enterprise Administrator ortheir designate.

We are searchingfor a Self-motivated individual with excellent communications skills;who posses the ability to rapidly grasp technical skills; who is motivated toput in self-study hours to gain the technical knowledge to succeed as aperforming member of the Salesforce Team.

 

Primary job responsibility: ApplicationDevelopment and Support

?Perform coding (in-houseapplications) or configuration management (COTS applications) in accordancewith standards and best practices and further minimize defects throughdisciplined unit testing.

?Coordinate updatereleases and other system changes, contribute to the implementation ofbreak/fix solutions, and update documentation and configuration informationrelated to changes as needed throughout the life cycle.

?Organize, build, andvalidate all segments of the code related to a specific build (release) forfinal User Acceptance Testing.

?Ensure developmentactivities within the position's scope of responsibility are consistent withestablished service portfolio policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.

?Determine the bestapproach in the development of an application's code to meet the customer'scurrent requirements and anticipate future enhancement needs.

?Identify and recommendchanges to development policies, processes, templates and standard operating proceduresto improve the overall quality of work being delivered.

?Collaborate across amatrix management environment with other developers and other OIT departmentstaff as needed. Must understand lines of authority and follow protocol toengage other resources.

?Find unique ways toresolve issues in the development process to meet the requirements of thecustomers and lead to the most efficient implementation possible.

Primary job responsibility: Tracking andreporting of work assigned 

?Working with the supervisor,develop estimates of the work effort necessary to deliver application solutionsbased on the project specifications provided. Record time spent on workactivities into the approved project tracking system. Provide appropriateprogress reports to the supervisor or project manager as requested.

?Determine reasonable andaccurate estimates for the completion of assigned work activities
