JOB DETAIL

Will computer equipment be provided? Yes

This individual will join an agile development/delivery team of approximately 8 members, including 3 other developers/engineers.  The project involves a specific line of insurance claim management (Absence/Leave Management).  The environment consists of:

-            A 3rd party Salesforce platform application

-            The development of a web application solution, integrating with the above platform as well as other FSRMS solutions (highlighted in the next bullet).  UI Framework expected to be React (most likely) or Angular

-            Other technologies impacted: SQL Server DBMS, DBAmp (Salesforce data integration solution)

We are seeking to incorporate broad Salesforce technical experience in our team with this role.  The role will include consulting on extending our feature set in areas such as integration (web app mentioned above), reporting and operations optimization – the potential assignments are broad, but all oriented around our use of the Salesforce platform and integrated web app.

What are the main 3-5 responsibilities of this resource?

1. Become familiar with the application and its use

2. Consult with the team regarding new work, emerging needs, application extension and operational management

3. Identify opportunities to improve service, availability, reliability, efficient use of Salesforce resources (e.g. API calls, storage limits). Leveraging broad experience.

4. Participate as a cross-functional member of our scrum team

Responsibilities

- Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.

- Independently reviews and analyzes issues related to the offerings supported by the product suite.

- Help and work with the Technical Support team to understand the issues raised by Business Team.

- Document business issues and the specific solutions provided.

- Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, interface design, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs. - Accountable for the ongoing support of application systems in production including problem analysis, resolution, and escalation, and reporting as necessary

- Develop and test, working with business and system requirements, and utilizing standard procedures and techniques.

Requirements

- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent 

- 3 - 7 years of progressive information technology experience

 Technical Skills: 

Salesforce platform management, configuration/development experience desired 

- Experience with JIRA or any other Altassian tools is preferred

- Experience with Microsoft .Net (VB. NET, ASP, C#) and SQL Server development is also desired. Knowledge of the financial and insurance industries, specifically the insurance business is a plus.

Travel for work not anticipated. Remote working to be considered for the right candidate.

 Salesforce platform background - this means either/both of Salesforce apps or 3rd party apps built on the Salesforce architecture. This will be an individual contributor but a leadership role - so the responsibilities will be varied depending on demand. This individual will also have the ability/assignment to identify areas of opportunity and realize them - such as new features, increased efficiency, scalability, etc.
