Day-to-Day Objectives/Responsibilities

•             REST APIs, Java based technologies but they are ok with

•             other languages on the backend.

•             They had 2 REST API layers; they are replacing the client facing layer with GraphQL (this

•             is where the GraphQL piece fits into the role, used in their environment as an orchestrator). Understanding schema design, caching site, subscription site

•             Nice to have-ApolloQL is a set of tools that manages GraphQL (Apollo is also good to look for on paper).

Personality Profile:

To be successful: Leadership skills, ARCHITECTURE skills, Software development experience in the past. If someone is a strong software architect with no GraphQL, that is acceptable. Architecture experience along with REST API experience is required.

Previous experience working in Telecom HUGE plus.
