Job Description

Drives IT engineering solutions and process engineering in a high-velocity culture by introducing technology, requirements, deliverables, gaps and systems design for Service Management within the ServiceNow platform. Analyzes and applies knowledge from ITIL to contribute to robust and innovative strategic solutions to solve business and IT challenges.

This position will be dedicated to Enterprise Service Management ServiceNow development related to an Outage Reduction initiative, which is focused on Problem, Change, Incident, & Event Management (in particular Service Graph Connectors for Open Telemetry and ServiceNow Observability).

Primary Accountabilities

•Drives and delivers new development, enhancements, and routine maintenance tasks of Service Management solutions within ServiceNow related to the Outage Reduction Project.

•Participates in all stages of the ServiceNow development lifecycle, including providing SME knowledge at time of demand, assistance with UAT, and post go-live support.

•Builds strong relationships with peers across functions through collaborative engineering operations and initiatives.

•Participates in the design and implementation of automated solutions to enable development needs that align with ServiceNow best practices and out-of-the-box, configured solutions.

•Analyzes and responds to the changing system/solution of the company and our clients with agility, flexibility, and exemplary customer care.

•Mandatory attendance when assigned development is within the weekly evening PROD release

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

•2+ years of ServiceNow experience with Problem, Change, Incident, & Event Management (in particular Service Graph Connectors for Open Telemetry and ServiceNow Observability)

•ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, prefer candidates with Certified Implementation Specialist ITSM

•Solid knowledge and understanding of:

•Coding principles developing independent modules based on the given specs in choice of scripts (Powershell, Shell, Perl).

•System Administration (configurations, installations, patch management, server maintenance, etc) and Network Management (firewalls, proxies, IP management, routing, DNS).

•Integration and communication protocols between applications, databases, and technology platforms.

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and perform effectively under pressure, escalating as appropriate

•Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to adapt technical and business concepts to one’s audience

•Ability to research and independently learn new technical information to perform configuration, operation, or network connectivity of applications, operating systems and network devices

•Excellent Customer Service Skills

•Keen attention to detail

•Swift action and analysis to identified customer issues

•Good business analysis skills for requirements elicitation and clarification
