Our Client is seeking a skilled and motivated PeopleSoft Developer with expertise in both technical and functional aspects of PeopleSoft applications within a health system environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining PeopleSoft solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of our healthcare organization. This position requires a deep understanding of PeopleSoft modules, healthcare processes, and the ability to bridge the gap between technical requirements and functional workflows.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience in PeopleSoft development, with hands-on expertise in both technical and functional aspects.
Experience in implementing PeopleSoft modules in a healthcare setting, including patient management, medical billing, and human resources.
Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft tools, PeopleCode, Application Designer, SQR, and PeopleSoft Integration Broker.
Familiarity with healthcare industry standards such as HL7, HIPAA, and CMS regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
System Monitoring: Regularly monitoring the PeopleSoft system's performance, logs, and error messages to proactively identify and address any potential issues or anomalies.
Incident Management: Responding to and resolving system-related incidents reported by end-users or detected through monitoring. This includes investigating the root causes of issues and implementing appropriate solutions to restore functionality.
Bug Fixes and Enhancements: Collaborating with business users and stakeholders to understand issues and enhancement requests, and then developing and implementing bug fixes and improvements to the customized system.
Change Management: Ensuring that any changes made to the highly customized system are carefully reviewed, tested, and documented before deployment, to prevent unintended consequences.
System Security: Ensuring the security of the PeopleSoft system by applying necessary security patches, implementing access controls, and adhering to compliance standards and best practices.
Patch Management: Managing and applying PeopleSoft patches and updates to keep the system current and in compliance with vendor recommendations.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implementing and managing regular system backups and disaster recovery measures to protect critical data and ensure business continuity.
Performance Optimization: Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks in the system to maintain optimal performance for end-users.
User Support: Providing technical support to end-users, addressing their inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering guidance on system usage.
Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of the system's configuration, customizations, and issues/resolution logs for future reference.
Collaboration: Working closely with other IT team members, functional users, and vendors to address complex issues and optimize the system's performance.
Regression Testing: Conducting thorough regression testing after system updates and changes to ensure that existing functionalities remain intact.
Disaster Recovery Planning: Participating in the planning and execution of disaster recovery tests to validate the effectiveness of recovery procedures.
Compliance and Auditing: Ensuring that the customized system remains compliant with relevant regulations and facilitating audits as required.
System Upgrades: Collaborating with the IT team to plan and execute system upgrades to take advantage of new features and improvements.
