  • Responsibilities:
  • System Monitoring: Regularly monitoring the PeopleSoft system's performance, logs, and error messages to proactively identify and address any potential issues or anomalies.
  • Incident Management: Responding to and resolving system-related incidents reported by end-users or detected through monitoring. This includes investigating the root causes of issues and implementing appropriate solutions to restore functionality.
  • Bug Fixes and Enhancements: Collaborating with business users and stakeholders to understand issues and enhancement requests, and then developing and implementing bug fixes and improvements to the customized system.
  • Change Management: Ensuring that any changes made to the highly customized system are carefully reviewed, tested, and documented before deployment, to prevent unintended consequences.
  • System Security: Ensuring the security of the PeopleSoft system by applying necessary security patches, implementing access controls, and adhering to compliance standards and best practices.
  • Patch Management: Managing and applying PeopleSoft patches and updates to keep the system current and in compliance with vendor recommendations.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implementing and managing regular system backups and disaster recovery measures to protect critical data and ensure business continuity.
  • Performance Optimization: Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks in the system to maintain optimal performance for end-users.
  • User Support: Providing technical support to end-users, addressing their inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering guidance on system usage.
  • Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of the system's configuration, customizations, and issues/resolution logs for future reference.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with other IT team members, functional users, and vendors to address complex issues and optimize the system's performance.
  • Regression Testing: Conducting thorough regression testing after system updates and changes to ensure that existing functionalities remain intact.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Participating in the planning and execution of disaster recovery tests to validate the effectiveness of recovery procedures.
  • Compliance and Auditing: Ensuring that the customized system remains compliant with relevant regulations and facilitating audits as required.
  • System Upgrades: Collaborating with the IT team to plan and execute system upgrades to take advantage of new features and improvements.
