Our client, the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC), is looking for an experienced full stack Java Developer to work with several technologies/tools, including but not limited to Java, JavaScript, ReactJS, Bootstraps, SQL, HTML, CSS, Git, Nexus & IntelliJ. The position will need to participate with project management, application architects and enterprise architects in leading customer project engagements. Having a UI/UX focus, this position will be key in helping our team evolve to take on the future of our applications
This contractor will put together a plan for our custom applications user experience, develop a library of screen elements and a style guide. He/she will perform data analysis, design, development, testing and implementation for task assignments using key principles, tools and processes such as specializing in software and problem diagnosis and leading and planning technical software implementation processes. This role is expected to be 80% frontend development with with about 20% backend.
Candidate must have substantial UI/UX experience. The candidate should have exposure and/or experience for developing applications as a member of a team, setting up and configuring systems for each client's unique requirements and delivering technology solutions for browsers. They need a person that has good “heads down” approach and solid development skills to take on assignments primarily on the front-end but also understand the back-end for the complete Full Stack cycle.
