Salesforce Lead Developer

Collaborate with data owners, data analysts, and data engineers to define and enforce data quality standards and best practices.
Monitor and maintain data quality through data profiling, data cleansing, and error resolution processes.
Create and maintain metadata documentation to provide context and understanding of data sources, transformations, and usage.
Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure proper data management and usage.
Manage data access controls and permissions to safeguard sensitive and confidential data.
Identify and address data-related issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies, working closely with relevant teams to resolve them.
Track and document data lineage to ensure data traceability, accuracy, and accountability.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure data security measures are in place and aligned with organizational standards.
Provide training and educational resources to end-users and stakeholders on data governance best practices.
Participate in cross-functional projects to ensure data-related requirements are met and data quality is maintained.
Assist in data remediation efforts in case of data breaches, errors, or non-compliance situations.
Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to data management and stewardship.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Management, or a related discipline. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience (10+ years) in data management, data governance, or related roles.
Strong understanding of data quality principles, metadata management, and data governance frameworks, Strong understanding of Alation is a must.
Familiarity with data profiling tools and techniques to assess data quality and identify issues.
Knowledge of data security practices and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is desirable.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to analyze complex data and identify patterns and trends.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative to resolve data-related challenges.
Certification in data management or related fields is a plus (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional - CDMP).
