Job Description

This is a development position for a PowerBI role

This role will require an in person interview. While there is the possibility to do a webcam followed by in person, it is preferred for just an in person one.

Position Summary


This position is for a Power BI Developer with a background in SQL and data warehousing for enterprise level systems at DFD. The primary function of this position is to design, develop, test and deploy advanced Power BI solutions that leverage data warehouse and source system data across multiple subject areas. Coach and mentor other team members on Power BI concepts and technologies.


Responsibilities:


•Develop and maintain executive, enterprise level analytics solutions and reports using Power BI Desktop and hosted in Power BI Report Server.
•Define and follow Power BI development best practices
•Proficient with SQL Server including the ability to optimize queries to efficiently retrieve data.
•Create and maintain Power Pivot models, datasets and data flows using best practices
•Provide system support for the Power BI Report Server environment (application administration for both the development and production environments)
•Manage report security, folder security, database row level security, report schedules and distribution
•Works with complex queries; using specialized business technologies and applications in the Microsoft stack, such as DAX Studio, Tabula Editor, and Power BI Report Builder.
•Performs unit testing to validate the accuracy and validity of reports and data integrity.
•Provides user (business and client) training in BI reporting tools and reports as needed.
•Troubleshoots and resolves data integrity and performance issues.
•Communicate issues, risks, and concerns proactively to management.
•Works with business and technical teams to gather and define requirements, concise functional/technical documentation, and provide project status updates.
Required Skills:
•Senior level hands-on skills in building Reports, Dashboards, Scorecards and Reports using Power BI
•7+ years of experience with Microsoft BI stacks such as Power Pivot, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
•5+ years hands-on experience in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Report Builder, Power BI Report Server and DAX Studio, must have deep technical knowledge and be able to implement any feature and solve any issue.
•5+ years of Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, and data architecture experience.
•2+ years of experience and technical knowledge of Power BI Report Server Administration
•5+ years of experience with advanced MDX and DAX expressions
•5+ years of experience with data modeling with Power Query and Power Pivot
•Experience in integrating Power BI Reporting with Angular/.NET Core Applications
•Performs unit testing to validate the accuracy and validity of reports and data integrity.
•Strong PL/SQL development experience with the ability to write complex and nested SQL queries and stored procedures.
•Experience using source control software such as GitHub and Azure DevOps
