Combination of support and developer for Workday CM (capital management)

Must have both a functional and technical background.  Will be doing support and development in SQL, SSIS, SSRS and .Net

We are looking for a HRIS specialist with development experience with C# to join our Corporate Application Development team. The HRIS Specialist is responsible for supporting the maintenance of the Human Resources Operations applications and tools including the human resources information system (HRIS), compensation system. The HRIS Specialist performs varied Human Resources operations functions related to business continuity programs and identifying process improvement opportunities.  

In addition, the candidate should have a strong database knowledge, including MS SQL server, MS excel, and be familiar with the full software design lifecycle.  The candidate should have experience in designing, coding, testing and consistently managing applications. A keen eye on quality is important.  

The ideal candidate proactively collaborates with our program manager to prepare, organize, coordinate, document and/or provide the development and deliverables. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  1. Maintain and support core HCM, Compensation, Time Tracking systems 
  2. Design and Develop applications using Microsoft technologies 
  3. Evaluate new software versions, enhancements and plans for upgrades, assist in review and management of bi-annual releases 
  4. Develop test strategies as well as execute testing and training 
  5. Maintain and support existing HR applications, processes, and integrations 
  6. Provide day-to-day support to business users 
  7. Collect and Document the requirements from the business users 
  8. Establish continuous communication with the business line Controllers  
  9. Lead large scale, complex process improvement initiatives 
  10. Maintain project plans and submit status reports  
  11. Performing and directing quality assurance testing of systems and solutions.  
  12. Implement process improvements    

Education and professional experience  

Required: 

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or another four-year degree with significant IS experience OR equivalent experience.   
  2. 7+ years of HCM systems support experience. Preferred Workday experience 
  3. 7+ years of development experience using .NET and MS SQL server technologies    
  4. Must have experience with C#, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, Java Script, XML and Excel 
  5. Must have experience with SSRS and SSIS 
  6. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills  
  7. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision  
  8. Ability to translate business needs and priorities into processes and systems requirements  
  9. Must be highly organized and process oriented.  
  10. Ability to research and trouble-shoot application problems
