Description:

The ideal candidate for this role has 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience. Typically part of the solution development team, the solution architect is responsible for translating the requirements created by functional analysts into the architecture for that solution and describing it through the set of architecture and design artifacts. Those artifacts are then used by the rest of the development team to implement the solution. The process of defining architecture by the solution architect often involves selection of the most appropriate technology for the problem being solved.

 

  • Experience building and designing data and analytics on enterprise solutions such as Azure - Data Factory, Log Analytics, Databricks, Synapse, Power BI, ADLS Gen2, Polybase and Machine Learning/AI.
  • In-depth understanding of computer, storage, network components including backup, monitoring and DR environment requirements
  • Previous experience in Power BI, Data Modeling, Data Classification and zones, data movement, Data architecture and reporting
  • Preferred knowledge and experience on Python and API architecture in Azure
  • Provides subject matter expertise and technical consulting support on either vendor or internal applications and interfaces.
  • Interfaces with the Product Owner and IT partners at the Program level to define and estimate features for agile teams.
  • Works within the SAFe Agile framework and employs ITIL best practices.
  • Conducts industry research, facilitates new product and vendor evaluations, and assists in vendor selection.
  • Assists in production support and maintenance of applications as needed.
  • Evaluates architectural options and defines overall architecture of the system, ensuring commonality across systems.
  • Mentors and coaches other members of the agile and\or Run team.
  • Drives engagement with ITS Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure secure development and deployment of solutions.
  • Defines non-functional requirements including performance monitoring, alerting and code management, ensuring alignment with technology best practices and SLAs.
  • Determines major elements and subsystems and defines interfaces as well as architectural runway.
