Candidate must have experience working with the public or government sector experience and the Client wants a candidate to have experience with PAL (Project Approval Lifecycle) processes and documentation, preferably. This is used in the California state departments so it can be difficult to come by unless they worked on a previous CA project and most likely not be on the resume. There is also a good chance a candidate is familiar with a similar process but is not familiar with the term PAL.

Requirements

Five (5) years’ experience performing a variety of business analyst functions such as each of the following:

a. Assessment of analysis scope and tasks;

b. Planning business analysis tasks;

c. Elicitation, definitions and documentation of various business, user, and system requirements;

d. Writing functional design specifications;

e. Requirements traceability matrices;

f. Perform analysis for business process improvement, application design and workflow automation;

g. Documenting as-is and to-be processes

h. Modeling and documenting functional designs and process workflows;

i. Developing test scripts;
