Proficient in one

or more Database Management Systems (e.g. DB2i, DB2 LUW, DataStax, Oracle, SQL

Server)

Familiar with one

or more replication technologies (e.g. DTShare, CDC, SQL Replication,

Attunity).

·        

Ability to read a Logical

Data Model a plus.

·        

Excellent verbal and

written communication skills.

·        

Detail

oriented.  Can juggle multiple priorities.

Strong analytical,

problem solving ability.

branch locations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

·        

Design moderately

complex databases, tables, stored

procedures, views, triggers and other database objects.

·        

Design and develop

ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) solutions

·        

Work closely with

application development project teams to ensure optimal application

performance

·        

Optimize database

performance through a number of techniques including but not limited to: indexing, query optimization, database

design.

·        

Participate in

periodic High Availability/Disaster Recovery tests of critical systems.

        

Proactively monitor database performance, capacity planning and

resource consumption

·        

Provide day to day

support for databases and database applications.

·        

Upgrade and patch

DBMS’s

·        

Ensure databases

and database objects are backed up according to business requirements, and recovery

procedures are tested and documented.

·        

Perform other duties

as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities

enumerated above.
