JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Azure Data Engineer will join the post-implementation of Tableau resting on top of Azure DataFactory. The Lead Azure Data Engineer will assess the delivered solutions and interface with business units and end-users to determine how they can be grown, based on the individual needs of each of the different business units. The Lead Azure Data Engineer will develop visualizations, pull in additional data from disparate data sources, and gain a deep and rich understanding of the current architecture, including DataLakes and Data Warehousing.
- Maintain Azure Data Platform (DataLake / DataFactory / DataBricks / Synapse Analytics) – Design / Build / Configure / Validate / Implement, etc.
- Design / Build / Maintain Enterprise DataLakes and Data Warehousing
- Creating DataFactory Pipelines / Copy Activity / Custom Azure Development / Custom DataBricks Development
- ETL / ELT Processes Knowledge (advanced)
- Liaise with Leadership / Business Units – Design / Validation / Implementation of Data Platform Infrastructure
- Develop Policies / Implement Mechanisms for Data Ingestion into Azure Data Platform from Various Sources
- Lead Navigating Challenging / Technical Situations to Identify / Implement the Best Solutions
- Convert Functional Requirements into Technical Specifications / Create Appropriate Technical Documentation
- Assist in Maintaining Business Documentation for Data / Data Structures in the Data Warehouse
- Create / Organize DataLake and Azure Synapse Serverless Objects to Optimize Performance
- Collaborate to Understand Data Requirements / Integration Needs / Constraints / Performance Requirements
- Support / Mentor Data Team on Best Practices / Methodologies
