  Assist with identification and remediation of application bugs!

b.     Assist with the completion of operational requests in the eXPRS ADOS Backlog

c.     Assist with the completion of the application enhancement request in the eXPRS ADOS Backlog

d.     Assist with completion of the performance and maintenance requests in the eXPRS ADOS Backlog

e.     Assist with the completion of the application refactoring requests in the eXPRS ADOS Backlog

f.      Assist with the completion of the User Interface improvement requests in the eXPRS ADOS Backlog

g.     Assist with the completion of the data and reporting requests in the eXPRS ADOS Backlog

h.     Transition of the concepts and enhancements to existing team members to enable them to provide ongoing support

 

Tasks:

  • Documenting completed enhancements to ensure complete system documentation for the eXPRS application.
  • Completing defect and change requests for code modifications associated with the Services that impact the eXPRS application.
  • Engaging in multiple discussions with system and business experts as well as attending daily Scrum meetings.
  • Engaging with the business product owner to understand mandatory functional business requirements and timelines.
  • Documenting solution options, impacted system areas, system dependencies, and gaps in system capabilities needed to fulfill requirements.
  • Engaging with the project technical architect to understand technical standards, and documenting technical design.
  • Engaging with the technical manager and technical lead to review level of effort and timelines.
  • Provide full transparency into the work performed by Contractor, and the Deliverables required to meet the objectives of this WOC. Sprint reports must document Contractor is successfully completing agreed-upon Services.
  • Following Authorized Purchaser’s existing requirements management, design, development and issue tracking processes and development standards (including naming conventions) during the course of performance. Authorized Purchaser’s existing processes use Azure DevOps (ADOS) and similar tools for tracking issues and an Agile Scrum approach is followed for development work.

Description for a Software Engineer IV:

  • Creates and designs new software by analyzing, testing, assessing and implementing programming applications.
  •  Supports and installs applications and operating system.
  • Assists in the testing process by conducting reviews and analyses, witnessing tests and participating in software certification.
  •  Relies on extensive knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals.
  • May offer consultation to senior leadership and is considered to be the top-level in this field. Usually reports to an executive.
  • Significant ingenuity and flexibility is expected. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area.
  • Any planned interviews will be conducted via MS Teams. Interview times will be in Pacific Standard Time.
  • Due to circumstances beyond our control, we anticipate two weeks or more for the background check completion for the selected candidate. 
  • Any decision to allow telecommuting is made with the understanding that the decision will be re-evaluated by the Agency Authorized Representative on a regular basis. The key person should be available to work onsite within a reasonable timeframe, if deemed necessary by the Agency Authorizing Representative.
  • Telecommuting will be contingent upon the key person providing his/her own adequate computer, monitor(s), Internet connection, and telephone, and be readily available during normal working hours via phone, email or MS Teams chat. Access to Agency systems will be provided via VPN or similar software. No hardware or additional software will be provided at the key person's home site or his/her PC, unless a specific device is required to perform assigned duties (such as Multi-Factor Authentication devices).
  • Work schedule is typically Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM Pacific Standard Time.
