Full Stack Developer
MarketStar is looking for a full-stack developer to be part of a global development team building applications and tools to support the business. In this role, you will work with our senior development architect and other developers to design and build new features and functionality for a number of existing web applications.
Specific responsibilities include
- Build web applications and utilities using the Microsoft tools and other popular web frameworks
- Utilize SOLID principles, object-oriented programming, and test-driven techniques to build scalable and supportable code
- Store, update, and make assessable structured and unstructured data, leveraging both relational and NoSQL database platforms
- Coordinate efforts and progress with other developers using agile project management, DevOps processes, and real-time chat
- Monitor, support, and troubleshoot built applications in production environments
- Assist with packaging, testing, and deployment of new software builds
- Work and meet with users, clients, project managers, and other developers. Have transparent and valuable communication to ensure progress and the best possible outcome
- Be passionate about building highly reliable and scalable systems that provide benefits for our users and employees
Skills and knowledge we like to see
- 5 to 10 years of experience working object oriented programming languages, with preference given to Microsoft C#
- Experience with modern web frameworks, with preference given to TypeScript and Angular
- Solid understanding of source control processes and capabilities using Git
- Experience with prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
- Familiar with Microsoft Entity Framework, SignalR, LINQ, and other commonly used libraries
- Experience utilizing design patterns and SOLID principles
- Ability to create tests and achieve high levels of coverage for created code
- Familiar with agile processes, including Kanban and SCRUM
- Experience building and working with web services (SOAP and RESTful)
- Ability to build web interfaces utilizing HTML, CSS, SCSS, and JavaScript
- Understanding of common code security practices and pitfalls (OWASP top 10, MITRE, NIST)
- Exposure to container and deployment technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Good written and spoken communication skills
