We are seeking an experienced SAP Capability Manager – Development with in-depth expertise in SAP ABAP skills, Webdynpro, UI5, Fiori, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and other related technologies, specifically within the biotech industry. As a development manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the BUILD and RUN development scope. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, ITBPs, and SI partners to optimize development processes and ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules. By driving the successful delivery of custom solutions, you will contribute to the seamless operation within Legend Biotech.

Requirements

Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience as an SAP development manager or similar role, preferably in the life science industry.
Minimum two E2E SAP S/4 HANA greenfield/brownfield implementation experience, preferably in the Pharma industry, with hands-on development experience.
Strong expertise in SAP ABAP programming, including Object-Oriented ABAP, ALV Reports, BAPIs, BADI, and enhancement frameworks.
Proficiency in SAP Webdynpro and UI5 development, with hands-on experience in designing and developing custom applications and user interfaces.
Extensive knowledge of SAP Fiori design principles and development, including SAPUI5, OData services, and Fiori Launchpad configuration and customization.
Solid understanding of SAP integration technologies and experience in implementing interfaces between SAP and external systems using SAP CPI, SDI, PI/PO or other middleware tools.
Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform and its components, such as SAP Integration Suite, SAP Extension Suite, and SAP Analytics Cloud, to leverage the platform's capabilities in enhancing and extending SAP applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate functional specs into technical specs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with stakeholders at all levels.
Relevant certifications such as SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Development Associate/Specialist – ABAP/Fiori/BTP), ITIL, etc., is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities  

Develop and implement a comprehensive SAP development strategy aligned with latest technologies and best practices, ensuring the standards and quality code.
Provide guidance, and technical leadership to a team of SAP partner developers, ensuring efficient project execution and high-quality deliverables.
Manage end-to-end SAP development projects, including requirements understanding, technical design and review, development, and deployment, adhering to development guidelines and standards.
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of custom solutions using SAP ABAP, Webdynpro, UI5, Fiori, and other relevant technologies, tailoring them to meet specific business needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements and implement interfaces between SAP and external systems, leveraging technologies such as SAP Business Technology Platform, CPI, SDI ensuring data integrity and smooth data flow.
Investigate and resolve technical issues, provide timely and effective support to end-users and stakeholders, troubleshoot system errors, and implement corrective actions.
Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, stability, and scalability, and implement optimizations and performance tuning measures to achieve optimal SAP system functionality.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including technical designs, and development standards, ensuring a comprehensive knowledge base for the SAP landscape.
