This position will provide senior level application systems support for the Food Protection Program (FPD) at the Indiana Department of Health.  

Candidate must currently be located in IN.

This position will provide senior level application systems support for the Food Protection Program (FPD) at the Indiana Department of Health.  Incumbent will work as part of an application systems development team as well as independently on projects. This position will be responsible for maintenance and development of USA Food Safety (a COTS product).  This position will also be responsible for providing maintenance support to existing systems such as the Produce Module, a web-based tool used to track inspections at farms.  Participate in functional requirements definition, meet with users to understand requirements, data collection and implement the requirements. Ability to troubleshoot production issues and fix them as and when they occur.  

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

•     Interact with Business Users and analyze the software requirements.

•     Evaluation of interface feasibility between hardware and software.

•     Implementation and maintenance of new applications and support old applications.

•     Development of tools and application for enhancement, migration and reports.

•     Data migration from old system to new system, coordinating with Local Health Department in getting their data through web services, interacting with State IOT, Local Health IT Departments.

•     Development of web services for interaction with systems in other health department and data migration.

•     Perform Unit and Integration testing.

•     System installation and maintenance.

•     Interact with users and provide technical support and training to users after the implementation phase of new system.

•     Provide Data Reports to Program Directors, Epidemiologists and Other staff.
