Responsibilities:

• Inspect existing REST/Ruby on Rails reporting endpoints for performance bottlenecks Determine problems from customers' perspectives and resolve issues Troubleshoot issues including slow response times, error messages, responsiveness, timeouts, and fix bugs Resolve reporting errors, improve the codebase, and optimize SQL queries Job Requirements:
• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a software developer
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Ruby on Rails
• Problem-solving and critical thinking ability, especially with the OOP paradigm
• 5+ years of Ruby on Rails (prefer v2.0+ experience) development including all layers (model, view, and controller); tend to build by feature
• Very strong UI skills including in depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax, CSS, XML
• Comfortable working in an agile environment with monthly releases; must adapt well to requirements changing and very comfortable multitasking
