JOB DETAIL

  • Systems Analysis and Design: Analyze and design software solutions, working closely with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, and create system specifications.
  • Programming and Development: Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, MVS, and DB2.
  • Testing: Plan and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure software reliability and functionality.
  • SDLC Methodology: Utilize the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology to manage projects effectively from requirements through deployment. Experience in SDLC is required.
  • EDI Formats and Communications Protocols: Ensure secure and standardized data exchange by working with communications protocols such as FTP. Knowledge of EDI formats, especially HIPAA Transactions like 837P, 8371, 835, is essential.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and inefficiencies in software systems.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong knowledge of systems analysis and design.
  • Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, MVS, and DB2.
  • Experience with SDLC methodology.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols, particularly FTP.
  • Knowledge of EDI formats, including HIPAA Transactions (e.g., 837P, 8371, 835).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
