This software engineering position is to fill 6 spots for a Life Cloud Engineering team. The main charge will be to integrate with product teams to migrate their application, services and data into the AWS environment. It will require heavy analysis of current on-prem runtime to determine the optimal migration approach and technologies in AWS. Hands on development is required to aid in moving runtimes/data into AWS. Coaching/mentoring with existing developers expected so they can support their products in the cloud environment after migration. Individual will be expected to setup common templates, pipelines, patterns for other teams to reduce the cloud migration friction. There may be some centralized platform management required as the Life systems are ported (ECS, EKS, ROSA, etc).

Business Knowledge:
 

·Cloud development experience on AWS

·Event driven solutions, API/ELB/Route 53

·Serverless technologies (lambda, fargate, glue, etc)

·Container orchestration, Relational Database Systems

·Data migration services Experience migrating WAS or Spring Boot runtimes to AWS

Technical Skills:

Infrastructure as code experience (terraform, cloud formation, etc)
Step functions or equivalent GitLab CI/CD automation
Containerization using docker or equivalent

Java Python SQL Test automation frameworks React/Javascript/typescript (nice to have)
CSS (nice to have)
