JOB DETAIL

Seeking a results-driven Senior Business Analyst (SBA) to join our ITS Finance/Human Resource team. In this role, the SBA will work with business partners across the enterprise, specifically the Finance division, to elicit and document business and functional requirements. The Senior Business Analyst will serve as the liaison between the IT team and the various business teams documenting and translating business requirements into documented functional requirements, and testing artifacts for Systems Analysts, Software Engineers, and Architects. In addition, the SBA will work with the Product Owner to plan and prioritize work using JIRA. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 - 5 years' work experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Quality Analyst/Engineering capacity; experience in finance functional areas and working with business users to define requirements. 

 

Required job responsibilities include: 

• Gather, analyze, and document business needs and translate into user stories, use cases, business/data process flows, test cases, etc. 

• Makes recommendations for business process improvements with a thorough understanding of technical implications and solutions as they relate to the technology needs.

• Serves as a liaison between business teams and IT. Develops and maintains knowledge of customer's business.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver messages in a clear and concise manner.

• Exhibits finance business knowledge and builds strong customer relationships.

• Familiar with SQL data queries for data validation with business systems.

• Conducts UAT and user training.

 

Specific technical knowledge and experience a plus: Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP or equivalent, Excel, Finance functions (Accounts Payable, Accounting, and/or Budget/Forecast).

Oracle Fusion Cloud: specifically Finance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
