DBHDS - Senior Data Warehouse Architect for the EDW Modernization Project, a cornerstone of the Agency's Data Exchange and Modernization Program. This project will implement a SaaS EDW and build integrations with multiple source systems. 

• The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) is seeking a Senior Data Warehouse Architect to join our team for a long-term project involving the implementation of a new Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution and a new Data Governance SaaS platform. 

• This transformative initiative aims to enhance our data management capabilities, drive data-driven decision-making, and ensure data governance compliance across the DBHDS organization.  

• This role will be a member of the Data Exchange and Modernization Program and will be working with a multi-project team in a hybrid agile environment.  

• Position will be hybrid remote and 2 days a week on average required to be on-site at DBHDS office in Richmond.  Parking will be in public lots with a daily rate.  

• Some travel within VA may be required, occasionally overnight. 

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES: 

• The Senior Data Warehouse Architect will work with the team and vendor to strategically design and implement the new EDW while ensuring high levels of data availability. 

• This individual will determine the strategy for transitioning data sources from the existing data warehouse to the new EDW. 

• This individual is also responsible for defining data standards and models for warehouse architecture.
