JOB DETAIL

This role is part of the Growth Marketing and Insights (GMI) organization. Measuring marketing outcomes is fundamental for data-backed decision making. The team is looking for a senior Data Scientist to develop the marketing measurement framework. The key goal for this person will be to apply modeling techniques and building on top of the results to guide budget decisions and impact marketing strategies and decisions. The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong technical skills and experience in applying modeling results to improve business processes and demonstrate business impact.

What you'll Do

You will help us answer key questions, including how to drive more efficient and effective marketing, improve overall marketing ROI, achieve both short- and long-term business objectives, optimize channel efficiency, and better measure our media performance. You will also lead discussions and drive alignment with technical as well as non-technical audience.

 

What you need to succeed

Ideal candidates will have a strong academic background as well as technical skills including media mix modeling and other ML algorithms. Familiarity working with large-scale datasets, and marketing and digital media would be a plus.

  • PhD or MS degree, and preferred majors include Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Math, Econometrics, Operations Research, or related quantitative fields.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python or PySpark
  • 8+ years’ experience in machine learning or data science teams
  • Have experience in marketing data science domain, specifically in marketing measurement (marketing mix models, attribution, experimentation)
  • Strong proficiency in querying, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets using SQL and programming languages
  • A well-rounded background to balance the line between data science and the business. The “applied” part is as important as the data science part
  • Excellent communication, relationship skills and a standout colleague
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with programming large language models is a plus
  • A curious mind, passion, and motivation to learn new skills, tools, and analytics techniques necessary to tackle business challenges
