- Works on strategic projects and coach development teams on defined standards and methods for data usage and propagation
- Coach development teams in identifying the correct location for system-of-record data
- Develop and document enterprise data standards and provides technical oversight on projects to ensure compliance through the adoption and promotion of industry standards / best practice / guiding principles aligned with organization standards and data governance
- Provide leadership, vision and direction to the applications organization with respect to enterprise data architecture to ensure it will contribute to the company achieving its goals and achieving a single version of the truth
- Work with IT leaders to help develop the overall IT and data strategy in the context of the business strategy
- Define and implement standards, methodologies and practices related to data architecture in line with best practice and practical experience of continuous improvement
- Design data models to support business intelligence initiatives across the enterprise
- Create and implement strategies for data governance and data ownership within the enterprise business units to ensure accuracy
- Collaborating with other teams within the organization to devise and implement data strategies, build models, and assess shareholder needs and goals.
- Developing application programming interfaces (API’s) to retrieve data

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Five (5) plus years of prior experience in designing and developing data solutions (data warehousing, data modeling).
- Five (5) plus years of experience building data processing platforms and developing complex data models
- Prior retail or C-Store experience is preferred
- Or, any equivalent combination of education and experience in job-related activities

- Knowledge of programming languages (Python, PowerShell, C#) or similar

- Working knowledge of Office 365 Suite of Power tools
- Extensive knowledge Azure-SQL Server database environments and integration practices.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of data modeling in RDBMS platforms, e.g. MS SQL Server, Databricks, experience with Big Data a plus
- Experience with DataLakes, DeltaLakes, and Aure Storage Accounts
- Knowledge of the Agile/Scrum methodology, Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, testing practices, debugging, and documentation is desired
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores.
- Experience with ETL tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, etc.)
- Knowledge of Power BI, specifically for delivering enterprise dashboards
- Ability to work effectively with others and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
