Design and implement highly available and scalable Postgres database systems.

Configure and maintain database security and access controls.

Perform database backups and disaster recovery procedures.

Monitor database performance and optimize database configurations to ensure high availability and performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve database issues and errors.

Implement and maintain database replication and clustering solutions.

Perform database tuning and optimization to improve query performance.

Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas.

Participate in the design and implementation of database automation and management tools.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of database technology advancements and best practices.

 

Requirements:

Strong experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available Postgres database systems.

In-depth knowledge of database security and access control mechanisms

Proficiency in database backup and disaster recovery procedures

Experience in database performance tuning and optimization

Experience with database replication and clustering solutions

Strong experience with SQL and database schema design

Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash

Knowledge of Cloud technologies like AWS

Experience with automation and management tools such as Ansible or Puppet

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills
