We are dedicated to safeguarding our digital assets and ensuring the security of our cloud infrastructure. As part of our ongoing commitment to security, we are seeking an experienced AWS Security Engineer with expertise in Terraform and Kubernetes security to join our team.

Job Description:

Position Overview: As an AWS Security Engineer with Terraform and Kubernetes security experience, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the security posture of our cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for identifying, implementing, and managing security best practices for AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes environments, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. AWS Security:
    • Design, implement, and maintain security controls in AWS environments to protect against various security threats.
    • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in AWS.
    • Evaluate and implement AWS security best practices, including IAM policies, VPC configurations, and network security.
    • Conduct security assessments and audits of AWS infrastructure, making recommendations for improvements.
  2. Terraform Security:
    • Develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure as code (IaC) templates with a strong focus on security.
    • Implement security practices in Terraform code, such as secure variable handling and secrets management.
    • Automate security checks and compliance enforcement using Terraform.
  3. Kubernetes Security:
    • Harden and secure Kubernetes clusters to protect against vulnerabilities and attacks.
    • Implement network policies, RBAC, and security contexts to enforce strong security controls in Kubernetes.
    • Monitor and respond to security incidents in Kubernetes clusters.
  4. Security Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, CIS, GDPR) in AWS and Kubernetes environments.
    • Develop and maintain security documentation and policies.
    • Participate in security audits and assessments as needed.
  5. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, development, and IT, to integrate security into the development and deployment processes.
    • Provide security expertise and guidance to project teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Security Specialty, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar, is a plus.
  • Proven experience in AWS security and Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes security best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of security concepts, protocols, and tools.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
