JOB DETAIL

A minimum of five years of relevant experience is desired.
Proficiency in PowerShell is crucial
Experience with NetScaler and Citrix VDA VDI is required.
Strong communication skills are essential.
A solid work ethic is a must.

• What type of software skills is an absolute must have?
o Must have knowledge of XENAPP and XENDESKTOP 7.6, 7.15 and Up versions –
o Must know XA/XD build out from scratch to implementation to deployment
o Must know MCS and Or PVS VDI provisioning knowledge
o Must know any Hypervisor administration, basic cloning, image management and Hypervisor related skills
o Must know basic AD skills
o Must know basic Windows server 2012, 2016 administration skills

Education & Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with the administration of Citrix and VMware Enterprise Products
• Minimum 5 years providing Level 1 and Level 2 User Support
• Minimum 5 years supporting Desktop Operating Systems
• Knowledge and experience with Nutanix hardware and AHV preferred

• What type of background would you like this person to have?
o Ideal background should be Financial firm Information Technology and or Healthcare Information technology with emphasis on IT Infrastructure

• Plus:
o Developing automation scripts using PowerShell - a Plus
o Troubleshooting of VMware ESXi environment - a plus
o Support multiple VDI and Desktop deployment/Management within Citrix XenApp & XenDesktop environment - a plus
o Support Nutanix AOS/AHV/ESXi - a plus
• Experience with HPE Moonshot a plus

As Citrix / VDI Support Administrator you be responsible for:
• Support all VDI’s and Users supported by the Access Team. This includes but is not limited to: Citrix XenDesktop 7x & 2203, Citrix XenApp 7x & 2203, Citrix Store Front, Citrix Netscalers, Vmware vSphere, Nutanix HW and AHV, Wyse Thin Client devices.
• Be responsible for delivering technology solutions and ensuring stability for a global Citrix/VDI environment.
• Work across departments to make sure requirements are understood to ensure successful solutions.
• Work with Vendors to report and resolve issues.
• Assist in technology evaluations
• Provide 24x7 on-call support (on a rotational basis) and is available after-hours to assist with or supervise data center installations or activities (as required)
• Assist with the development and implementation of standards, procedures and processes for the department.
• Maintain and update documentation to stay current
• Support infrastructure projects
• Support day to day issues.

• What is the day to day of the person going to look like? Be specific.
o Typical Day to Day - Start with Director and Studio monitoring and upkeep the health of the Citrix Environment
o Should be willing to take, handle and process all Helpdesk (if required) to any type of Escalation level that is Citrix and Access related issues
o Should be willing to come to office as required by the StateStreet office
