Seamlessly Develop new code, Migrate / Upgrade existing code from .NET Framework (including ASP .NET web forms) to the latest version of .NET Core
Required skills: ASP.NET, .Net Core, .Net Framework
Nice to have skills: Bitbucket, C#, GITHUB, Jenkins, Jira, Splunk, SQL Server
Experience: 10 years (8+ years preferred)
Top 3 Must Haves:
• .NET expertise, including experience developing/architecting and leading complex .NET projects/migrations
• Experience in Core .net development.Experience in code Migrations from .NET Framework to Core Ideally experience writing transition pieces in .NET Standard that will let Framework and Core code work together
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Analyze the existing .NET Framework code to understand the overall architecture, code structure, connectivity to database, apps, APIs, etc
• Work closely with the client development team / architect to identify key dependencies, risks / issues, if any
• Understand and agree upon coding standards, testing process etc with client development team / architect.
• Lead discovery (with onboarding support from the client development team / architect) to identify the modules for migration / upgrade, and create a plan for sequence and timeline for the migration
• Develop/Migrate the identified modules as per the sequence / plan from .Net framework to .Net core
• Test the code as per the agreed standards to avoid regressions or downtime in production code
• Provide support to the AWS DevOps engineer in testing the new CI/CD pipeline setup / migration
