- Skillset needed is to support cloud PostgreSQL database for development and customer environment.
- Database support will be in azure cloud and google cloud specific to PostgreSQL.
- Oracle knowledge not required but will be considered since this product is moving from oracle to PostgreSQL for some customers.
- PostgreSQL DBA is an expert in managing the PostgreSQL database system
- Expertise in writing SQL queries, analyzing query performance using query plans and tuning query performance .
- Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery and replication solutions and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience implementing deploying Postgres database servers
- Postgres database performance tuning and script automaton to streamline the process.
- Advanced knowledge of Database Administration on PostgreSQL platforms operating within on premise & AWS installations.
- Advanced knowledge of Database operational monitoring & alerting for PostgreSQL.
