- Monitors, troubleshoots, & supports Windows, Mac, Linux servers, Dell Compellent SAN, VMware, MS Exchange, and SharePoint Server
- Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software
- De-bug & resolve a variety of Windows & Linux server hardware & software problems. Debug hardware & software systems
- Troubleshoots and resolves network & server connectivity problems
- Sets up and installs new server hardware & software according to existing standards & procedures
- Provides technical & applications support to help desk staff. Provides systems administration & support for engineering systems (e.g., SolidWorks - EPDM, MSC Nastran & CATIA)
- Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems with automated systems solutions
- Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for LAN and/or WAN systems. Plans, designs, acquires and implements telecommunications voice/wire systems
- Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles
- May supervise the activities of others in an informal team lead capacity
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum of 12 - 15 years' experience providing IT Systems Administration support
- Experienced configuring, installing, and supporting Windows Server OS and Red Hat
- Experienced maintaining Engineering applications (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia, CAD) systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other office productivity tools
