The Senior Analyst/UI Designer in IT serves as a primary interface to the business users, with the guidance from a IT Director to assist development and project teams in understanding the business processes, workflows, and information requirements of the users. The resource will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual and interactive aspects of our application by collaborating with product owners, stakeholders, developers, and testers to help rebuild an existing application.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research to understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations.
- Analyze user feedback and data to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing.
- Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather valuable insights for design improvement.
- Incorporate findings from usability testing into design iterations.
- Facilitate & document comprehensive business and technical requirements for a variety of technology platforms
- Analyze business workflows and identify areas in which existing or future technology can be utilized to improve user experience and productivity
- Manually test new product features as they become available and write test cases for the creation of automated test scripts
- Facilitate training sessions and demos with project stakeholders and application users, and have a thorough understanding of the system so that user questions can be properly addressed
- Support the development of strong client relationships by building trust, rapport and strong working relationships with key sponsors (including senior level executives), stakeholders, and team members
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as Business Analyst, UI/UX Designer, or similar position
- Hands on experience with application design and configuration
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Expert understanding of UI/UX principles
- Experience producing & managing detailed documentation including high & low level business requirements, traceability matrixes, work-flow diagrams, test cases and business use-cases
- Knowledge in the Media and Entertainment industry – specifically around Content and Asset delivery and fulfillment
- Expert knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
- Strong understanding of various application integration methods (REST, SOAP, etc.)
- Experience designing mockups and wireframes based on business requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with strong presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal, team building, organizational and motivational skills
