JOB DETAIL

This position provides senior technical Tableau development support to a federal government client, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Providing technical analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance support of large-scale enterprise data warehouse reporting and querying environment employing Oracle Federal Financials applications and associated interfaces.
  • Providing expert Tableau programming, query, and dashboard development, including tuning and optimizing queries and reports.
  • Supporting Tableau administration and configuration validation.
  • Support data analytics and data visioning for Federal Financial applications.
  • Developing integrated data stores and data extract routines for an enterprise data warehouse.
  • Working closely with other members of the Tableau development team and provide senior technical support and guidance as required.

Experience: 

  • 10+ years of detailed specific Tableau query and dashboard development skills.
  • 10+ years’ experience using Oracle databases.
  • 10+ years of experience using Oracle Financials application product.
  • 10+ years of experience with financial systems.
  • 10+ years of experience with accounting systems.
  • Experience with developing and administering Tableau environments.
  • Extensive experience with joining disparate data sources into meaningful, use-able queries and dashboards is required.
  • Expert experience implementing production quality queries and reports, including development of “As Implemented” documentation.
  • Experience interacting with reporting teams, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and senior staff as part of operations support.
  • Experience in Business Intelligence data marts.
  • Federal administrative application experience is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional analytic skills and demonstrated ability to perform critical thinking to resolve complex issues. This will be thoroughly evaluated during any interview.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interface directly with senior customers.
  • Expertise in all aspects of the modern software development life-cycle (SDLC) development approaches that integrate IT security.
  • Demonstrated technical skills focused on resolving issues and problems.
  • Ability to analyze complex inputs and translate data into well-defined
  • Familiarity with tools such as TOAD is desirable.
