JOB DETAIL

Field Project Manager to provide onsite project management support for the installation of digital time clocks across DOE schools.

 

Mandatory minimum qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience of hands-on, onsite, Field Project Management of Network Infrastructure Installation and Deployment projects.
  • 6+ years of Project Management experience in the Data network industry.
  • 6+ years of teamwork experience & leadership abilities in network infrastructure deployment and implementation.
  • 6+ years of customer service and client-facing experience, interacting with end users and vendors in the field.
  • 6+ years of experience with documenting project deliverables.
  • 6+ years of experience with MS Office (Word, Visio, Excel, Project).
  • preferable qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s degree in computer science from an accredited college.
  • Prior education industry/project experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
  • Detailed and process-oriented; extremely organized.

 

 

The Field Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Field project managing installation of Cybershift clocks across DOE schools.
  • Creating and managing installation with input from all stakeholders.
  • Surveying school buildings to gather necessary requirements for integration, cabling work, network, electrical, hardware, etc.
  • Documenting site surveys, BOM (bill of material) requirement validation.
  • Documenting and managing risks, issues, and updating status and resolutions to the program manager.
  • Coordinating, directing, and overseeing Cybershift clock installation work within school buildings while onsite.
  • Serving as representative and point of contact to the DOE Senior Program Manager of the overall Cybershift project. Coordinating meetings with schools and vendors as it relates to installation services.
  • Updating appropriate project-related documents.? Occasionally traveling to schools, to physically verify work. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, organizing, and managing of resources required for the successful deployment of digital time clocks in DOE schools. This includes developing detailed project plans, establishing milestones, defining the resources required, and coordinating all project activities with business owners/stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, establishing escalation protocols, communications strategies, resource allocations, and establishing budget requirements.
  • Develops and monitors schedules to ensure that projects are completed within established deadlines.
  • Leads status meetings, tracks and maintains detailed issues and risks registers, and prepares appropriate project meeting minutes and status reports.
  • Meets regularly with other related teams to ensure that risks/issues are identified and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Identifies mitigation strategies for risks/issues and communicates risk/issue status updates to stakeholders.
