Client Job Description - Sr Java Service Developer
Client is looking for a Sr Java Service Lead developer to write Web services and to work with the largest U.S distributor of plumbing supplies, PVF, waterworks and fire and fabrication products. The ideal candidate must possess excellent background on backend development technologies. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability and collaborate effectively with domain and technical experts in the team.
Responsibilities:
As a java developer, you will
- Maintain active relationships with Product Owner to understand business requirements, lead requirement gathering meetings and review designs with the product owner.
- Work closely with Customer EA’s to convert program/epic level business expectations to technical design solutions
- Drive the Senior Developers in the team to ensure timely & quality deliverables
- Total technical ownership for the Scrum Team
- Own the backlog and coordinate with other team members to develop the user stories planned for each sprint.
- Perform technical design reviews and code reviews.
- Deep knowledge of commonly used modules based on extensive work experience and creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
- Responsible for prototyping, developing, and troubleshooting software in the user interface or service layers.
- Perform peer reviews on source code to ensure reuse, scalability and the use of best practices.
- Participate in collaborative technical discussions that focus on software user experience, design, architecture, and development.
- Perform demonstrations for client stakeholders on project features and sub features, which utilizes the latest Backend development technologies.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of strong hands on background in developing back end applications.
- Proficiency in Java, Apache camel, Mongo DB & Web services.
- Strong knowledge in creating and working with APIs.
- Experience with Cloud services, including Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
- Strong exposure in Agile, Scaled Agile based development models
- Familiar with Integration scenarios such as Message Queues, Kafka, File transfer integration.
- Familiar with Interfaces such as REST web services, swagger profiles, JSON payloads.
- Familiar with dev ops such as Bitbucket / Bamboo / Jira / Confluence.
- Familiar with Jenkins and continuous integration.
- Familiar with ServiceNow and HP QC.
- Experience with test driven development and Integration test cases.
