Technical/Functional Skills Sr Java developer with Middleware (Kafka/MQ/PubSub) with Google Cloud
Experience Required 10+ years dev experience
• Development of code using Java 8 Spring and its features with strong working knowledge on Spring framework, node JS.
• Should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience on middleware messaging technologies like Kafka/IBM MQ/PubSub
o Building and maintaining kafka topic configuration
o Troubleshoot Kafka related issues.
o Monitor and optimize Kafka clusters.
o Advise on design and assist with development of applications using Kafka and other tools.
• Knowledge on the following cloud technologies
o Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud storage Cloud SQL/Postgres, Big Query
o Perform GCP migration.
• 1 yr as Tech Lead
o Worked with offshore teams in India in Agile delivery
Roles & Responsibilities
• Ensure software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
• Enhance of existing features.
• Troubleshoot application failures during development and testing phases.
• Document high level and component level design, ensure quality standards in terms of usability and security of all the application components.
• Active contribution to application lifecycle including maintenance, release management, critical bug fixing and ensure error free delivery of the software solution.
• Practice Agile development process.
• Tech Lead Responsibilities:
• Technical review of code of peers in team and recommend corrections for delivery efficient, optimal code.
o Technical discussions with Customer teams for workload management and technical solutions
o Code review/peer reviews and sign offs
o Join meetings with India team for status collection for reporting
o Flag any delays or performance issues with team
