Database Administrator (DBA)

Hybrid position, 50 % HYBRID in Ft Worth, TX

BNSF is looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) contractor for staff augmentation purposes to help manage its Marklogic environment.
The position will be responsible for on-going administration of existing environments including defining, planning, implementing, and supporting BNSF’s physical Marklogic databases for the enterprise.

Candidate should possess extensive knowledge of all aspects of Marklogic including monitoring and performance tuning.

Qualifications
·    Strong technical knowledge on Marklogic
·    Experience in NoSQL Databases such as Mark Logic
·    Exceptional problem-solving skills - Performance analysis and optimization, especially in a relational query context
·    Database engine implementation - including indexes and compression
·    Upgrade & migration of Marklogic infrastructure
·    Experience: 5-10 years
·    Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
·    Should be Self-motivated, team oriented, able to work in a team environment and able to operate with minimal supervision
·    Knowledge of writing query/ procedure in SQL
·    Excellent customer communication and Ability to manage challenging customer delivery and tight deadlines
·    Should be Experience with Linux operating systems
·    JSON, XML, and related technologies
·    Work experience with any cloud

Responsibilities
·    Troubleshoot all Database / Application Incident Tickets
·    Troubleshoot DB performance issues
·    Installing, Configuring, Patching and Upgrading database and software
