• Design, implement, and sustain Linux-based server environments, emphasizing scalability, security, and high availability. 

• Collaborate with the architecture team to devise and execute Linux infrastructure solutions aligned with business needs. 

• Create and maintain cloud-based solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms. 

• Architect and optimize hybrid cloud solutions, integrating Wintel and Linux environments. 

• Provide expertise in managing Windows Server and Linux environments within a cloud infrastructure. 

• Execute system administration tasks: installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and patch management of Linux servers. 

• Monitor system performance and implement optimizations for optimal resource utilization. 

• Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. 

• Support virtualization technologies like KVM, VMware, or similar systems. 

• Optimize virtual infrastructure for performance, scalability, and resource efficiency. 

• Develop automation scripts (Bash, Python, etc.) to streamline tasks and enhance efficiency. 

• Utilize configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) for system automation. 

• Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for production environments. 

• Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for Linux systems. 

• Regularly test and update disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity. 

• Offer expert-level support for escalated Linux-related issues and resolve complex technical problems. 

• Collaborate across IT teams and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting. 

Qualifications: 

Minimum Qualifications / Skills: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 

• Demonstrated experience as a Linux SME or in a similar role. 

• Profound knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS), server environments. 

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills: 

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python) for automation. 

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). 

• Strong grasp of security best practices and compliance requirements. 

• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

• Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, LFCS) are advantageous.
