We are seeking a highly skilled Android Developer with a strong background in Xamarin.Android and C# fundamentals for a remote contract position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in migration projects, specifically involving upgrades from Android 7.1 to Android 10 or higher versions. As an Android Developer, you will play a crucial role in implementing various features, with a focus on notification manager service, background service to foreground service, broadcast receivers, and schedulers.
Responsibilities:
- Xamarin.Android & C# Expertise:
- Demonstrate proficiency in Xamarin.Android and possess a solid understanding of C# fundamentals.
- Migration Project Experience:
- Lead and contribute to migration projects involving Android version upgrades from 7.1 to 10 or higher.
- Ensure a seamless transition and compatibility of applications across different Android versions.
- Notification Manager Service:
- Implement and optimize the notification manager service for effective communication with users.
- Background Service to Foreground Service:
- Develop and enhance features related to transitioning from background services to foreground services, ensuring a smooth user experience.
Broadcast Receivers:
- Utilize broadcast receivers to efficiently handle and respond to system and application events.
- Schedulers:
- Implement schedulers to manage background tasks, optimizing resource utilization and application performance.
- Android Platform Expertise:
- Bring in-depth knowledge and practical experience with the Android platform, contributing to the overall development process.
- Version Control:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of version control systems and best practices.
- Experience:
- Possess more than 6 years of hands-on experience as an Android Developer.
- Showcase a track record of successful Android platform development and migration projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Xamarin.Android and strong proficiency in C#.
- Extensive experience in Android platform development, with a focus on migration projects.
